Kelly and Herman Nieuwoudt are the founders of Lakeview Ranch, a family ranch in Montgomery, Texas. Originally from South Africa, they shared a vision of creating a life rooted in family, hospitality, and the beauty of the outdoors.
After spending several years living abroad, they returned to Texas with a dream of putting down lasting roots. Together, they transformed a peaceful piece of land — once only trees and shrubs — into a place where family memories are made, animals are lovingly cared for, and friends are always welcome.
They bought the land sight unseen, still on international assignment at the time — a leap of faith on nothing but a vision and a dream. There was no house, no fencing, no pasture; just raw land and the belief in what it could become. Every day since has been a labor of love, working hard to shape it — one fence line, one paddock, one season at a time — into the ranch they always pictured.
For Kelly and Herman, Lakeview Ranch is more than just a property — it is the legacy they are building for their daughters, a place where hard work, kindness, and unforgettable memories will be passed on from one generation to the next.
